Chief Water Operator 

The Weirton Area Water Board has an opening for its Chief Operator. Candidates must have a West Virginia Class IV water operator’s certification to be considered. Must have or obtain Chief Operator training within one year of employment. The Chief Operator will be responsible for the Water Treatment Plant facilities, storage tanks and booster stations. A successful candidate must be able to pass a background check and a drug screening.

Wastewater Operator or Wastewater OIT 

The Elk Valley Public Service District is taking applications and seeking letters of interest and resumes from highly motivated individuals interested in employment as a Wastewater Class I, Class II, Class III or Operator in Training. Requirements will include a high school diploma or GED equivalent and valid WV Class A or B commercial driver’s license. Mechanical background, organizational skills and some computer skills are necessary. A minimum of WV Wastewater Class I Operator’s license or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment is required.

Elk Valley Public Service District offers an excellent benefit package with PEIA health insurance including vision, dental, life, State Retirement, and AFLAC. Starting salary will be on an hourly basis around $29,000 per year and up plus overtime based on qualifications.
