Wastewater Class I, Class II or Wastewater Operator in Training

The Elk Valley Public Service District is taking applications and seeking letters of interest and resumes from individuals interested in employment as a Wastewater Class I, Class II, or Operator in Training. Requirements will include a high school diploma or GED equivalent and valid WV driver’s license. Mechanical background and minimal computer skills are necessary. A minimum of WV Wastewater Class I Operator’s license or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment is required. Also required is a Class A or Class B CDL within 1 year of employment.

Elk Valley Public Service District offers an excellent benefit package with PEIA health insurance including vision, dental, life, State Retirement, and AFLAC. Starting salary will be on an hourly basis around $29,000 per year and up plus overtime based on qualifications.

Wastewater Operator

The City of Ripley is accepting applications for the position of Sewer Plant Operator.  The position participates in the operation and maintenance of a class I sewer treatment facility.  A HS diploma or GED is required along with a WV Class II Sewer Treatment Operators License.  Strong communication skills and supervisory experience are desired.  Salary based on experience.
